The daily update is a common element of internal communication, used to keep employees informed about key organisational activities and initiatives. It’s a critical tool that fosters alignment, engagement, and trust by keeping everyone on the same page.
The format for daily updates can vary, from emails to app notifications, and brief meetings to a platform like tchop(tm). They’re short and timely, focusing on immediate priorities or developments. They may include a list of key deadlines or meeting schedules for the day, and they can be tailored to different employee groups based on their roles.
They’re delivered at a consistent time each day to establish a routine. They’re clear and concise, reducing the risk of misinformation. And they provide an outlet for employees to ask questions or raise concerns, fostering stronger relationships across teams.
To enable daily updates in your Action, configure one of its intents as a triggering intent, and then set the daily update option as a response for that intent. When a user invokes the intent, they receive a notification on their device with a link to your daily update conversation. To personalize the content of that conversation, set up your daily update to collect custom parameters from the user when they register for the intent. Then, reference those values when delivering the daily update by adding them as arguments in your response. See the instructions below for details on how to add these arguments, depending on whether you’re using Dialogflow or the Actions SDK.
